Social Justice Publication

I was tasked with designing a 10 page social justice publication including a table of contents, two feature articles, two interview articles, and a cover page. This project taught me how to design large bodies of text while maintaining legibility and creativity. Exploring the difficulties of maintaining a system, establishing strong higharchy, and incorporating relevant imagery throughout this project.

Digital iterations began by trying to embody the emotions established in my research (bold, passionate, intense, frustrated, etc.) through type, image, and color. Harsh contrast quickly became the most effective way to do this, using large bold type combined with light yellow or purple background splashes.
